It’s only now while creating this gallery I realized just how grey the PNW is 😂 But I love it!! Today was all for end of trip errands, including my first time dumping my tanks. I get to a dump station, pull out the macerator hose, and water immediately started gushing out! No idea what that was about, oh well. Pulled the blank tank lever, then hit the pump. It looked like something was going on, but no sound like the macerator was working so..no clue. Then, I tried to pull the grey tank lever..and its not budging. Wiggle it around, and it pushed right in. OH!!! It was already open, I guess the guy at the dealership forgot to close it when he was showing it to me, so all that water was from the grey tank. Well, darn.
I need grey to flush the hose after emptying the black tank, so I ran the inside faucets to get something back into the grey tank, emptied that, hosed everything down, sealed everything up, and I was on my way. Not anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be! I’m still not entirely sure if the macerator is working, so will have to try the slinky hose next time.
Afterwards, off to give my Zion its first bath!!! Found a self car wash and it felt like it was taking forever…there were SO MANY BUGS! Like every bug to ever exist in California, Oregon and Washington combined was on my van. I didn’t do as great a job as I wanted to, but I was exhausted…so finally hit a point where I was like…good enough, time to go.
Was a fun surprise to pull up to the house and Ski was standing outside waiting for me! He’d asked me if he should go check in on our pup Lincon, and I said I was only 10m away from home, so I had no idea he’d be there! He right away complimented how clean the van looked 🥰 It was such a great feeling to walk in the door, give my pup who was crazy excited to see me some love, and then crawl into bed and before I knocked out was thinking..holy cow, I have an RV!!
